The Supermatter Engine is located in Engineering, and getting access to it will be a challenge in and of itself. To extract a sliver, a special toolkit is provided to Syndicate traitors containing special extraction tools and the following instructions:
 
# Protect yourself from radiation with radsuits and mesons, both of which should be located near the engine.
# Approach an active supermatter crystal with radiation shielded personal protective equipment. DO NOT MAKE PHYSICAL CONTACT.
# Use a supermatter scalpel (provided) to slice off a sliver of the crystal. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER TOOLS.
# Use supermatter extraction tongs (also provided) to safely pick up the sliver you sliced off. AGAIN, DO NOT USE OTHER TOOLS
# In case it isn't clear, physical contact of any object with the sliver will dust the object, as well as yourself.
# Use the tongs to place the sliver into the provided container, which will take some time to seal.
# Get the hell out before the crystal delaminates and/or you are caught.

You can fill up a tank from the big orange canisters labelled Plasma in Atmospherics by clicking the canister with the tank, setting the regulator to maximum and opening the valve.
 
Remember to close the valve BEFORE taking the filled tank out, unless, of course, very conspicously flooding atmospherics with plasma where everyone in engineering can see you, is part of your master plan.
 
From a syndicate's point of view, failing to get these is almost impossible, much less accepted.

What we do know is that it is an integral part of the Science department's research point generating initiative. Without it, R&D generates points at half the normal rate! Of course, this means that the Syndicate is interested in getting their hands on it.
 
To steal the source code, first enter the [[Server Room]]. You want to access the server which has yellow and black hazard tape on it. Do note that the server room is cooled by a freezer, so remember to take an emergency fire suit and internals with you inside to prevent yourself from freezing to death while fiddling with your tools. Given the large amount of action steps required, it is advised that you accumulate an excellent moodlet before attempting this in order to reduce the amount of time spent in the server room. Then follow these steps:
# Use a special screwdriver (with a proprietary tip, traitors get this with the objective) to open the front panel. You'll have to remove four screws.
# Use a special crowbar (with a claw attached to the end, traitors also get this with the objective) to pry the hard drive out.
# Use a special wirecutter (with a some digital fuckery attached to the head, traitors, need I say, also get this with the objective) to sever the hard drive's connection to the server. You'll have to cut six wires.
# Put that hard drive into your inventory, and escape alive with it!
 
Once the hard drive containing Project Goon has been extracted, there is no way to reinsert the hard drive back into the master R&D server. Ditto if the server gets blown up, there's no way to remake it.
